Over 5,400 children in 37 communities across BC learned track and field skill progressions with BC Athletics' Run, Jump, Throw Program, funded by the BC Sport Participation Program in 2004-2007.
The Gitanyow Band Council received $1,930 from the Local Sport Program Development Fund which aims to increase participation in community sport by providing funding for the Gitanyow Youth Soccer League program.
The Hazelton literacy task group received $100,000 from Literacy Now Communities to improve literacy in the community and surrounding area.
