Story

Vanderhoof, one of more than 83 communities to celebrate Spirit of BC Week 2007, held Art in the Park chair decorating. At the free event, members of the community met Anne Rose and other local artists at the park to decorate metal folding chairs. Chairs and paint were donated and participants were invited to use their creativity.

Other celebrations included a kids' carnival at the Nechako Valley Secondary School. The carnival featured a bouncing tent, Velcro wall, snowflake craft table, and snow games such as a snow man tug of war, snow scavenger hunt, and snow angel races. A mini golf course was open all day and final clues in the Gingerbread Man Scavenger Hunt brought participants to the carnival.

There was also a night skate where residents skated at half price, wearing favourite team jerseys. Local high school children hosted a hockey shoot, milk jug curling and other games.
