Story
McBride Centennial Elementary School received a $5,000 Explorations grant to offer local children a summer arts camp in 2005. Twenty-seven children, aged nine to 12, from Dunster and McBride took part. During each of the ten days of the camp, two local artists shared their arts and crafts. The camp exposed children to talented artists in the community, raising awareness of the wide scope of expressions possible through art, and allowing them to practice a variety of art forms. Activities included watercolour, woodworking, digital photography, quilting, drawing, beading, weaving, and more.
