In 2005, 2010 Legacies Now partnered with Parents as Literacy Supporters (PALS) to expand the program to reach more families throughout BC.
PALS is a family literacy program that gave parents and caregivers tools and activities to encourage learning in their preschool- and kindergarten-aged children. Families participated in multiple PALS sessions, which focused on early literacy development through play. PALS aimed to provide a positive transition from home and early care settings to school.
PALS was created by early learning experts Dr. Jim Anderson and Fiona Morrison.
