Story
In June 2006, the World Urban Forum III, an international UN-HABITAT event on urban sustainability, was hosted in Vancouver. Among the networking events was a session on Measuring Up: The Accessible and Inclusive City.
The session featured a panel of speakers including Vancouver Mayor Sam Sullivan and 2010 Legacies Now Board Chair Judy Rogers, along with representatives from national and international disability organizations. Session participants engaged in the interactive forum, which explored the importance of community dialogue in creating accessible and inclusive cities.
