HostingBC.ca was a comprehensive website, created in partnership with Tourism BC and the Province of BC, which showcased BC’s readiness to host sport events. Hosting BC.ca featured more than 250 sport venues in over 50 communities throughout the province.
Through HostingBC.ca and other programs done in partnership with Tourism BC, 2010 Legacies Now raised the profile of BC’s world-class facilities. International teams visited provincial facilities for pre-Games training, such as the women’s Swedish hockey team in Kelowna, the U.S. short track speed skating team in Surrey and the Russian figure skating team in Abbotsford.
