Story
In 2007, the third annual 2010 Legacies Now Connecting Communities Tour visited seven BC communities. The tour, presented by Bell and the Province of British Columbia, travelled the province to share the spirit of the 2010 Winter Games and encourage British Columbians to create their own legacies leading up to 2010 and beyond.
More than 32,000 people visited the 2007 tour, which featured information on 2010 Legacies Now programs and interactive activities, including a hockey shoot, ski simulator and virtual snowboard game. The exhibit also featured a panel of Canada's Olympic and Paralympic history, and information on Bell's support of BC athletes. In each community, Bell presented a local up-and-coming athlete with $1,000.
The tour stopped in Tsawwassen, Burnaby, West Vancouver, Nanaimo, Prince Rupert, Kelowna, and at the Pacific National Exhibition in Vancouver.
