In 2006, 2010 Legacies Now unveiled a new guide to help communities become more accessible and inclusive for persons with disabilities. The guide was used by more than 100 communities across BC.
The Measuring Up guide was unveiled at the international terminal of the Vancouver International Airport, which was built to include fully accessible facilities for persons with disabilities. The guide was also distributed at the 2006 Paralympic Winter Games in Torino, Italy.
The Measuring Up guide was created in partnership with the provincial and federal governments and the City of Vancouver through the Vancouver Agreement, and in cooperation with leaders of BC's disability community. A revised guide was launched in 2009.
