Story
On December 11, the City of Vancouver opened its new accessible playground. The playground, located at Kitsilano Beach Park, is one of three world-class accessible playgrounds developed in the 2010 Winter Games venue cities.
The Vancouver playground features activities and play-spaces to enable children with various disabilities to play side-by-side with their families and friends.
The playground was developed in partnership with 2010 Legacies Now, the Province of BC, Ronald McDonald House Charities of Canada, Rick Hansen Foundation, Coca-Cola Canada and Shane's Inspiration.
