Threshold Housing Society Finds Volunteers

Story

The Threshold Housing Society offers a safe, supportive, semi-independent housing option for youth between the ages of 16 and 21, who are at risk of being homeless. Created in 1990, the society has about 30 volunteers.

Through VolWeb.ca, the society has access to volunteer support for short-term fundraising projects, specifically its annual Mardi Gras celebration. The Mardi Gras is a festival with music, dancing and door prizes. It is an opportunity to celebrate abundance, acknowledge donors, volunteers and staff, build connections with the community, and raise funds for the next year.

VolWeb.ca is an online registration tool to connect volunteers with event organizations throughout BC. VolWeb.ca is supported by the Province of British Columbia, CTV, Volunteer BC and Volunteer Canada. Visit VolWeb.ca for more information.
