Sunshine Coast Celebrates Spirit of BC Week 2007

To celebrate Spirit of BC Week the community of the Sunshine Coast was invited to a Spirit of BC Swim; a demonstration of figure, speed and power skating; a demonstration of telemark and cross country skiing; as well as displays of art and literacy projects. Sunshine Coast communities were among more than 83 communities to celebrate Spirit of BC Week 2007.

Spirit of BC is a province-wide program that involves 95 Spirit of BC committees, representing over 200 communities across the province. These committees support local programs and help create opportunities in sport and recreation, arts, literacy, volunteerism, business and tourism.
