Powell River Celebrates Spirit of BC Week 2007

One of more than 83 communities to celebrate Spirit of BC Week 2007, Powell River held Celebration of Volunteering, an event at the Recreation Centre held in partnership with Volunteering Powell River. Participants offered volunteering information as well as information on the BC Disability Games 2007, hosted by Powell River. Spirit of BC giveaways were also provided.

Spirit of BC is a province-wide program that involves 95 Spirit of BC committees, representing over 200 communities across the province. These committees support local programs and help create opportunities in sport and recreation, arts, literacy, volunteerism, business and tourism.
