Port Moody Celebrates Spirit of BC Week 2007

One of more than 83 communities to celebrate Spirit of BC Week 2007, Port Moody held a Show your Spirit Skate, the kick-off event to celebrate Spirit of BC Week. There was ice painting, figure and speed skating demonstrations, and a "curl your hair" event for people who wanted to try curling.

Spirit of BC is a province-wide program that involves 95 Spirit of BC committees, representing over 200 communities across the province. These committees support local programs and help create opportunities in sport and recreation, arts, literacy, volunteerism, business and tourism.
