Story

One of more than 83 communities to celebrate Spirit of BC Week 2007, Pemberton hosted a variety of events, including a two-day Artisans' Exhibit of works by native artists in the community. The event, held at the Pemberton Valley Lodge, included wood, metal painting and other artisan work. A youth art exhibit, organized by the Pemberton Secondary School Leadership group, included displays of student art, woodwork and more.

Busker Town saw local entertainers filling the village streets while residents voted for their favourite busker. A Family Street Party and beer garden featured fire spinners and a live concert by Hairfarmers. In addition, a music parade that started at the Pemberton Library included a piper, colour parties, parade of international flags, horses, and marching groups.

A polar bear swim and canoe race also included cross country skiing, dog sledding, horse drawn sleigh rides and snowmobile rides.
