Story

Cloverdale, one of more than 83 communities to celebrate Spirit of BC Week 2007, hosted Skate to Whistler, an event where members of the community tracked of the distance they travelled during any of the public or family skates. A Skate for Literacy event involved the Surrey Library and the junior hockey team, the Surrey Eagles.

At the Cloverdale Ahead of the Game Volunteer Development Program Lunch, organizers encouraged and recruited volunteers to support local and regional events leading up to 2010 and beyond. The group's goal is to train 50 new leaders each year.
