Story

One of more than 83 communities to celebrate Spirit of BC Week 2007, Barriere held a community skate for residents of Barriere and the surrounding area. In addition, the community hosted Volunteer Appreciation Days, a two-day event where all local groups put up displays along with descriptions of their activities during the year. Volunteers were encouraged to talk to the public about their organization and received a certificate and Spirit of BC pin for their dedication.
