Story

Hosting BC Team and Event Services offered a concierge service to connect National Olympic Committees and National Paralympic Committees with pre-Games training locations in BC. In total, 70 teams from 20 countries hosted training camps in 20 BC communities leading up to the 2010 Winter Games.

Among the host communties was Kimberley, which hosted Para-Alpine teams from Canada, New Zealand, Australia and the United Kingdom. Kelowna hosted the Swedish women's ice hockey team and curling teams, along with sledge hockey teams from the USA, Germany, Norway and Canada. The Comox Valley hosted athletes from multiple sports, including snowboard, cross country skiing, biathlon and freestyle skiing.

The concierge service was in partnership with the Province of BC.
