Story

In 2008, the 2010 Legacies Now Connecting Communities Tour hit the road for its final year. The tour, presented by Bell and the Province of British Columbia, travelled to 17 community events and festivals to share the spirit of the 2010 Winter Games and encourage British Columbians to create their own legacies leading up to 2010 and beyond.

More than 100,000 people visited the 2008 tour, which featured information on 2010 Legacies Now programs and community highlights. The tour also featured a miniature outdoor curling rink.

The tour stopped in Victoria, Prince Rupert, Vancouver, Williams Lake, Prince George, Abbotsford, Nanaimo, New Westminster, Gibsons, Richmond, 100 Mile House, Kamloops, Armstrong, Langley and West Vancouver.
