Story

In 2005, the 2010 Legacies Now Connecting Communities Tour started its inaugural tour of nine BC communities. The tour, presented by Bell and the Province of British Columbia, travelled the province to share the spirit of the 2010 Winter Games and encourage British Columbians to create their own legacies leading up to 2010 and beyond.

More than 88,600 people visited the 2005 tour, which featured information on 2010 Legacies Now programs and interactive activities, including a hockey shoot, snowboard simulator and children's fun zone. The tour stopped in West Vancouver, Prince George, Cranbrook, Nelson, Kelowna, Vernon, Victoria, Nanaimo and Burnaby.
