Story

On November 17, a new outdoor sport court in Vancouver's inner-city opened as a legacy of the 2010 Winter Games.

The sport court project was managed by 2010 Legacies Now and was made possible by a $350,000-investment from Coca-Cola Canada. This investment will also provide financial support for youth programming and coaching clinics on the court over the next three years.

The outdoor court features basketball and ball hockey courts, and offers youth and families a place to participate in sport in their own neighbourhood. The court is located at Raymur Avenue and Union Street on land donated by the Province of BC and managed by BC Housing. The Vancouver Board of Parks and Recreation designed the court.
